M3 doubles revenue and personnel even prior to arrival of nano-tech.
M3 Placement & Partnership, an MWBE-certified talent recruitment firm in Utica, NY, has grown dramatically in revenue and personnel since its inception in 2011, beating all the odds against small business survival. The firm has been successful in securing staffing opportunities in existing regional businesses and non-profits as witnessed by its expansion to new offices at Lomond Place (in Utica) and the addition of new employee Tara Findorff. It looks forward to future growth as it expands its network and placement services to the national stage.
Founder and CEO Mary Malone McCarthy said, “We’re excited by the business growth and opportunity in Central New York – not only our own, but the blossoming of regional commerce. I believe the hope and excitement offered by nano-technology has inspired people, but I’m pleased that, right now, we’re finding existing CNY businesses are creating a lot of opportunity for top talent individuals who are deciding to stay in the region, relocate or return home. Looking ahead, both CNY economic development, especially with the emergence of nano-technology, and the rapid development of M3 as a national player will further accelerate our growth.”
McCarthy believes her success comes from the investment the firm makes in understanding and partnering with clients. M3 client Karen Sammon, President, ParTech, Inc., said, “Mary Malone and her team invested time up-front to better understand PAR Technology’s business and the type of talent we require, for both executive recruiting and leadership education projects. With this knowledge, M3 was able to tap into their network and recommend only those individuals that were a good fit for us.
“They are locally focused, but they also have the ability to draw resources from outside of the Mohawk Valley, and they anticipate and respond to candidate needs when employees and their families are relocated to the area. This offers a higher level of assurance that candidates who are recruited will be successfully integrated into the company and the community.”
M3 client Dietra Harvey, President, Utica YWCA Mohawk Valley Board of Directors, characterizes M3 Placement & Partnership as exceptionally professional and very personal. “We had considered an executive search ourselves but we wanted to showcase a high level of professionalism and integrity, so we solicited quotes from three recruiters. While all three were comparable in price, M3’s stood out because of the depth of service and the kind of engagement offered to the YWCA. We were very pleased with the result.” Like ParTech, the YWCA Mohawk Valley benefited from M3’s national network of top talent; the individual placed came from outside the Mohawk Valley region.
New hire Tara Findorff will contribute to M3 recruiting initiatives and also provide administrative support to the president and team members. Her background includes human resource administration, and she’s worked in a variety of industries, including healthcare and non-profit. Recently relocated to Utica with her husband Michael, she’s pleased to join the M3 team and is looking forward to M3’s fast-paced and high-performing environment. Findorff holds a bachelor of arts in history from the University of Colorado.
The M3 team will celebrate its new office space with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 3 at their new offices, 110 Lomond Court, Utica.
M3 Placement & Partnership was established in 2011 by CEO and President Mary Malone McCarthy to recruit top talent and offer staffing and coaching services for Central New York businesses by connecting organizations and people that can best meet each others’ needs. In 2013, M3 was accepted into Top Echelon, a network of national recruiters, and was awarded New York State Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MWBE) Certification. The business focuses on executive, mid-management and professional support staff but also assists with temporary work and professional services. McCarthy summarized the firm’s ethos: “We value every partnership and strive to exceed our customers’ expectations.”
